| In the 3rd semester as follows Basic Electronics:- In basic electronics lab students learn and study the elementary/basic circuits of electronics. They get knowledge of various components which are used in electronic equipment for example diode and rectifier and determine its efficiency /TUF etc. They study Clipper, clamper and use of transistor (FET, MOSFET, and BJT) as amplifiers. Also they study use of zener diode as regulator which is use to stabilize voltage of various equipments. Electronics work shop:- Student learns to use and identify the different electronics components. They learn to design and analyze the different electronic circuits with help of measurement of voltage and frequency using CRO. They also learn to design a PCB using drilling & tinning technology, to design & fabricate the working projects. Network Analysis & Synthesis:- In NAS lab students learn about the measurement of inductance, capacitance of the components. They study & synthesize different electrical networks and theorems like Millmann’s, Thevnin’s, Norton’s, Maximum power transfer etc. They study RLC network, analysis of pulse response of LPF, They also study of transmission parameters like ABCD & hybrid parameters of two port network system. Programming with C:- Here they learn C programming and how to design and execute the programs like prime number generation. Also they use the functions, recursive function, and macros for programming. Here student performed shorting of array. They learn the use of structure, pointers and files, to make the program which ask the user to input a file name and copy the contents that file to another one In the 4th semester as follows Advance Electronics circuits Lab:- In AEC lab students learn to design and study various types of amplifier oscillator and filter circuits used in various types of complex circuits. They learn to study different input & output characteristics of the three configurations of transistors, frequency responses of CE & RC- Coupled, amplifier with current / voltage feedback. Digital Electronics Logic Design Lab:- In this lab students design and study the different types of combinational and sequential circuits. They study and learn about the realization of Boolean expressions, to construct half adder, full adder, comparator, flip flop circuits with basic and universal gates. Also they study the operation of asynchronous decade counter and various types of decoding and driving devices. Industrial Transducers and sensors Lab:- In this lab student study the measurement of linear displacement using LVDT, LDR, and measurement of speed of motor with the help of reluctant tachometer. They study the characteristics of photovoltaic cell, photoconductive cell, phototransistors, IC temperature sensors, NTC bridge circuit etc. Programming with C++:- Students learn the C++ programming also designing and its execution. They learn to use the functions with multiple arguments, to define the class and objects, they also learn to use appropriate operator and constructors, overloading of operators with the help of multiple number of programs and menu design program. In the 5th semester as follows Simulation Lab:- In simulation lab student learn to design implement and simulate the complex circuits design with the help of simulator like Tina-Pro. They learn to simulate the rectifier, transistor circuits, miller integrator, differentiator, clipper/clamper, instrumentation amplifier, ADC/DAC, comparator and multivibrator circuits for studying output responses for various inputs. Linear Integrated circuit and applications Lab:- In this lab students get knowledge about operational amplifier and timer they study 555 IC, pin configuration and it’s variety of applications like a stable, mono stable, bi stable multivibrator. In LIC they learn IC 741. They determine OPAMP characteristics example slew rate, offset voltage etc. and use OPAMP as differentiator, integrator, adder, substractor etc. And OPAMP as inverting and non inverting amplifier. Communication System I:- This is one of the most important lab in our department. Here student learn about various types of analog modulation and demodulation which is used for the communication purpose. They study about a complete communication system i.e. transmitter, receiver and the communication channels. They learn about frequency modulation – demodulation. Here they design frequency demodulator using PLL. Also they learn about the designing of SSB-SC & DSB-SC using balanced modulator and square law modulator. 8085 Microprocessor and interfacing lab:- This is another important lab in our department which deals with the controlling of system with the help of the microprocessor. Here students learn about the microprocessor 8085 and its peripheral ICs. They learn microprocessor programming for various applications and interfacing purpose. They perform 8085 assembly language programming for series generation, ASCII code conversion, editing of ASCII string, multi byte BCD addition etc. In the 6th semester as follows Digital signal processing lab:- In this lab student learn the MATLAB programming. They learn to design and analyze different types of signal, system. They also learn to design LPF, BSF, BPF and HPF using recursive/non recursive structures and to generate, sample, convolve and correlate the signals. Advance communication system:- Here students learn about the digital/pulse communication system like PAM, PCM, time division multiplexing and more. They study ASK, FSK, PSK modulation and demodulation and different data conditioning and reconditioning techniques. Advance Microprocessor and interfacing:- In this lab students learn the 8086 microprocessor assembly language. They perform the complex programming and interfacing with 8086 microprocessor. They design program for code conversion, shorting, counting even/odd number etc. In the 7th semester as follows In Microwave Lab:– In this lab students learn to measure the voltage standing wave ratio, impedance, mode, ETS etc of microwave sources. Also they find out and study the characteristics of Klystron, gun diode, attenuator, and directional couplers. In Microcontroller & Embedded System:- They learn to program with 8086 assembly language. They perform coding for data block transfer and for different mathematical operations on signed/ unsigned numbers, code conversions, to generate signals. Also they study the serial data transfer operations. Advance Signal Processing Lab:- In ASP lab students learn about the advance signal processing techniques. They learn and study about the synthesis of FIR/IIR filters, image processing techniques. Minor Project:- Minor project is beneficial for student to get much knowledge about the PCB design techniques and their practical implementation. They get well acquainted with circuit designing and analysis. They also learn to make a live project and to present it properly. They use assembly or MATLAB coding for interfacing purpose thoroughly. In the 8th semester as follows In optical Communication Lab:- Students study about the optical fiber which is one of the most suitable channels of communication. They study about various optical sources like LED, LASER diode, photodiode etc. They learn about various techniques which deal with optical communication like transformer and receiver circuits used in it. Here they learn to measure the bending loss, attenuation loss, numerical aperture of an optical fiber. They perform the amplitude modulation and demodulation over fiber optic cable and learn to measure the optical power of a LASER diode & photodiode. Digital Circuit Simulation lab:- DCS lab is to design, implement and simulate the full adder, 3:8 decoders, 16:1 MUX, code converter by showing result on 7 segment display, comparator and divide by 32 digital logic by counter and flip-flop. Here student learn about the design & simulation of various complex digital circuits by using a simulator like Tina pro or Multisim. VLSI Design Lab:- In this lab students learn about the designing of various complex digital combinational and sequential circuits through a device simulator like VERILOG or VHDL. They learn the layout design of CMOS inverter, NAND/NOR gate, 2:1 MUX, 1:2 decoder, different combinational and sequential logic using a simulator. Major Project:- Students get much knowledge about the PCB design techniques and their practical implementation. Here they get well acquainted with circuit designing and analysis. They also learn to make a live project and to present it properly. They use assembly or MATLAB coding for interfacing purpose thoroughly. |
