Perhaps the oldest branch in engineering, Civil Engineering is a study of technology related to construction and building infrastructure of various kinds such as dams, bridges, roads, houses, buildings, water distribution systems etc. The discipline is very popular among students who have a creative bent of mind and want to make a career in sectors like construction, real-estate, infrastructure etc. The civil engineering course comprises of a wide variety of modules that include surveying, drafting, computer applications and modeling, soil, concrete and asphalt testing, evaluation and design, road and highway analysis and geometric design, traffic analysis, structural analysis and design, concrete and asphalt design, hydraulics, construction engineering, municipal infrastructure & project management.
